Every use below runs the same way underneath: SwapCam transforms your camera feed inside Chrome, and the application you are using picks that feed up as a camera source. Nothing is uploaded, and there is no separate capture tool sitting between them.
That also sets the shared limit. If an application cannot choose which camera it uses, or does not run in the browser at all, SwapCam has no way to reach it. Compatibility varies by application, and we list specific ones only once they have actually been tested.
